§ 01 · THE REPAIR

The repair, drawn out.

Here’s the whole job on one drawing — the aluminum branch circuit, the AlumiConn connector with its copper pigtail, and the engineer’s seal at the end.

§ 02 · THE PROCESS

Three steps. No surprises.

If your home was wired between 1965 and 1973, you didn’t do anything wrong — and this is fixable. Here is exactly what happens next.

From first call to sealed certification, you’ll always know where things stand.

02
We match you with a vetted electrician

A licensed St. Louis-area electrician who installs AlumiConn connectors to the UL-listed torque spec — and who welcomes having their work checked.

03
Our engineer certifies the finished work

When the installation is complete, our Professional Engineer independently inspects it, connection by connection, and issues a sealed certification letter.

§ 03 · WHAT “VETTED” MEANS

What “vetted” means here.

AlumiConn is one of the few CPSC-recognized permanent repairs for 1965–1973 aluminum branch wiring — when it’s installed correctly. Its UL 486C listing depends on every set screw being torqued to spec. So “vetted” isn’t a vibe. It’s three specific things we confirm before your name ever reaches an electrician:

  1. i

    Licensed for your jurisdiction

St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and St. Charles each license electricians separately. We confirm the license that covers your address — not just “a” license.

  2. ii

    Installs to the UL-listed method

Calibrated torque screwdriver, wire stripped to the spec length, and a connector on every aluminum termination in the home — not just the easy ones.

  3. iii

    Welcomes independent certification

Our P.E. inspects the work connection-by-connection and issues a sealed letter insurers accept. An electrician who bristles at that doesn’t make our list.

§ 04 · OUTSIDE THE METRO

Outside the St. Louis metro?

We’ll be straight with you: our placement area is the St. Louis metro, and we only refer where we can personally vouch for the work. If you’re elsewhere, we won’t pretend otherwise — but here’s exactly what to ask any electrician you find, wherever you are:
